Spinal Problems

The spinal cord represents the “trunk-line” between the brain and the body. Injuries to the spinal cord can have catastrophic consequences for our pets and their owners. The spectrum of clinical problems relating to the spinal cord is wide however ranging from neck or back pain all the way to complete paralysis and in some (rare) cases, even death. The range of more common spinal cord problems can be divided into those that are the result of Disc Pathology, Inflammatory Central Nervous System Diseases, Traumatic Injuries, Vascular Problems, Degenerative Conditions, Congenital Anomalies and Neoplastic Disease (cancer).  More information on Disc Disease can be downloaded from the Client Resources section..
